Blunt and DeVos Make Gentleman’s Wager on World Series
JEFFERSON CITY–Gov. Matt Blunt and Michigan Gubernatorial Candidate Dick DeVos have made a gentleman’s wager as the St. Louis Cardinals and Detroit Tigers meet in the World Series.
“To up the ante I have placed a gentleman’s wager with Michigan Gubernatorial Candidate Dick DeVos,” Blunt said. “Missouri stands ready to cheer the Cardinals as they beat the Tigers in the World Series.”
In the unlikely event that the Cardinals lose the series, Blunt has offered DeVos a selection of Missouri branded beer, Burger’s Smokehouse ham, award winning Missouri wine, six pack of Bud Select and a copy of Three Nights in August.
If the Tigers lose, DeVos has offered a selection of Michigan microbrew beer, a case of Faygo Red Pop, a case of Vernor’s, and American and Lafayette Coneys from Detroit along with an invitation to sample them in person on Blunt’s next trip to the city.
