Blunt Appoints Killen as Iron County Prosecuting Attorney
JEFFERSON CITY–Gov. Matt Blunt appointed R. Scott Killen (R) as Iron County Prosecuting Attorney.
Killen, 35 of Ironton, is an associate attorney at Oliver, Oliver & Waltz, P.C. Killen served as Iron County Prosecuting Attorney from 1999 through 2002. He holds a bachelor’s degree and a juris doctorate from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
“Scott Killen has the proven legal experience necessary to be an effective prosecutor for the people of Iron County,” Blunt said. “I am pleased he has agreed to take on this challenge once again.”
Killen will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Carl Strange.
